From 6b992d5f16d7595caf15ccbc9ccaefd304e58283 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Lukas Czerner Date: Tue, 4 Aug 2015 14:10:49 +1000 Subject: [PATCH] generic: test zero range crossing isize within single block Exercise the situation that cause ext4 to BUG_ON() when we use zero range to zero a range which starts within the isize but ends past the isize but still in the same block. This particular problem has only been seen on systems with page_size > block_size. This tests exercises the problem fixed in kernel with commit 0f2af21aae11972fa924374ddcf52e88347cf5a8 ext4: Allocate entire range in zero range Signed-off-by: Lukas Czerner Signed-off-by: Eryu Guan Reviewed-by: Dave Chinner Signed-off-by: Dave Chinner --- tests/generic/096 | 64 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ tests/generic/096.out | 2 ++ tests/generic/group | 1 + 3 files changed, 67 insertions(+) create mode 100755 tests/generic/096 create mode 100644 tests/generic/096.out diff --git a/tests/generic/096 b/tests/generic/096 new file mode 100755 index 00000000..daf9981a --- /dev/null +++ b/tests/generic/096 @@ -0,0 +1,64 @@ +#! /bin/bash +# FS QA Test 096 +# +# Exercise the situation that cause ext4 to BUG_ON() when we use +# zero range to zero a range which starts within the isize but ends +# past the isize but still in the same block.
